Millions

In einer fernen Zeit, in der in Großbritannien der Euro eingeführt wird: Kurz vor dem großen Währungswechsel fällt dem 7-jährigen Halbwaisen Damian (Alex Etel) eine Tasche voll Geld vom Himmel direkt vor die Füße. Der ruhige Junge, der hin und wieder sogar Heiligenerscheinungen hat, glaubt natürlich sofort an ein Geschenk des Himmels.
Sein praktisch denkender 9-jähriger Bruder Anthony (Lewis McGibbon) vermutet jedoch einen Schatz, der schnell ausgegeben werden sollte, bevor der rechtmäßige Eigentümer ihnen auf die Schliche kommt. Und der ist auch schon auf der Suche.
Danny Boyles erster Kinderfilm ist so hinreißend und verblüffend schräg wie "Trainspotting" und "Lebe lieber ungewöhnlich", gleichwohl jedoch verspielter und sehnsuchtsvoller - eine ernste Komödie, die Boyle nicht unbedingt nur für, aber mit Kindern und fabelhaften Darstellern inszeniert hat, in die er sich mühelos einfühlt.
