Beschreibung
Ins Thailand des 18. Jahrhunderts sind die Burmesen eingefallen, der Widerstand der Armee ist gebrochen, nur mehr versprengte Reste leisten den Invasoren Widerstand. Der Mönch Bhikku hat als einziger die Schlacht um das unbeugsame Dörfchen Bang Rajan überlebt und schart nun im rapide wachsenden Urwaldstützpunkt allerhand Überlebende aus den verschiedenen Landesteilen um sich. Als die Burmesen planen, das nationale Heiligtum außer Landes zu schaffen, stellen sich Bikkhu und seine Rebellen ihnen in den Weg.
